I Have Been Rained On Poem

The pelting of the rain startled me from my daydream
It was him I had been thinking of
There was a joy I had found and closely kept in my heart
Closing my eyes I could still feel his lips on mine
The kiss insurmountable
A legend even
It was the way he held me close to his heart that wanted mine
Fingers entwined as if to chase away the cold
Love simmered and the ripples felt in my toes
My inner sanctum told of the warmth I sensed next to him

Rained On Roses Poem

Red roses in the rain
Drenched from yesterday’s downpour
A raging storm that never wanted to end
Like a ship from a far off land
Bringing back sons, fathers, friends, uncles, nephews
 And husbands even…from war
Their only resting place in the bosom of their loved ones
Believing the worst is over, every cold droplet of the rain
Wanting to dance on the petals of the delicate blooms
The door closed off from the world

In The Pouring Rain Poem

Listening to the rain fall
Looking, really looking at the sky
Every dark, grey sky above
Forming threateningly slowly
The clouds filling the earth with hope
Pregnant with rain
The soft whisper of lightning
Thunder bolts so dangerous but beautiful
Wind gathering together
Whistling past giving trees reason to bow

I Love You Like Poem

The earth loves it when it rains
Chilled ice cream on a sunny day
Melting chocolate on my tongue
Watching my favourite team win
A mother cuddling her baby
Two lovers waiting to meet
I hate my enemies

Beautiful Soul Poem

I stood in the pouring rain
Looking forlorn and cold
I almost stopped existing
Wishing you would be a little bit closer
For this frail form to fade away
And tomorrow not to be forgotten
Dreaming never was true for me
Love at first sight
A myth I never truly believed in
Till your touch felt like an Angel’s
Flustered in the beginning
Then I let you beautify my life
Though faith in everything had gone
I believed in you
You are my piece of private ground
An earthly scent
Filled with curtains of bright emerald green
Dotted with stones of deep transparent red
I want to flee with you
Covered with promises of our love
So as to live our best life at the present

Before When After Poem

Before it rains
I think about your aroma
The scent that tantalizes my emotions
Like rising smoke from a volcano
The desire melts every inch of my heart
As my soul composes a serenade
That is totally irresistible
When it is raining
You have a smell I adore
Not being able to resist your skin
A smooth feeling I cannot stop
You taste like spicy honey
With kisses dripping with sweetness
I do not want to leave your arms
After it rains
I must find my way back to your lips
Before I get lost in your touch
My heart stops beating fast
Our breaths become one rhythm
You become an obsession
A temptation that will not go away

Rain When Love Calls Poem

Rain,
Torrents of rain pour on me
Drizzle from my head to toes
Soak my hair into my drained face
Drape my clothes into my skin
As my pores open to breathe
Hairs all over my body stick to me
Wet with moisture and warmth
Drops of water slide down every part of me
Forming crooked rivers and ripples
With no destination except the ground
An owl hoots into the silhouette night
All else is silent
Quiet and calm
Air faintly tasting like old cypress trees
I touch my lips as my fingers tremble
Eyes closed to melt into the freezing air
A dark blue and black night
Shimmering scents of cinnamon
Lonely solace clutches my heart like steel
Reaching out for an unselfish sensuality
Knowing it is poetry under the moonlight
When love calls
