A Time For Everything Poem

Everything that happens in this world
Happens at the time God chooses
He sets the time for birth and the
Time for death
The time for planting and the time
For pulling up
The time for killing and the time
For healing
The time for tearing down and the
Time for building
He set the time for sorrow and the
Time for joy
The time for mourning and the
Time for dancing
The time for making love and the
Time for not making love
The time for kissing and the time
For not kissing
He sets the time for finding and the
Time for loosing
The time for saving and the time
For throwing away
The time for tearing and the time
For mending
The time for silence and the time
For talk
He sets the time for love and the
Time for hate
The time for war and the time for
Peace...
He has set the right time for everything
Given us the desire to know the future
But
Never gives us the satisfaction of fully
Understanding what he does.
I realized that all we can do is to be happy
And do the best we can while we are still alive…
Whatever happens or can happen
Has already happened before
God makes the same thing happen
Again and again.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-15

The Capable Wife Poem

How hard it is to find a capable wife
She is worth far more than jewels
Her husband puts confidence in her
And he will never be poor
As long as she lives
She does him good and never harm
She keeps herself busy
Making wool and linen cloth
She brings home food
From out of the way places
As merchant ships do
She gets up before daylight
To prepare food for her family
And to tell her servant women what to do
She looks at land and buys it
And with money she has earned
She plants a vineyard
She is a hard worker, strong and industrious
She knows the value of everything
She makes and works late into the night
She spins her own thread
And weaves her own cloth
She is generous to the needy
She doesn’t worry when it snows
Because her family has warm clothing
She makes bed spreads
And wears clothes of fine purple linen
Her husband is well known
One of the leading citizens
She makes clothes and belts
And sells them to merchants
She is strong, respected and not afraid of the future
She speaks with gentle wisdom
She is always busy
And looks after her family’s needs
Her children show her appreciation
And her husband praises her
He says
Many women are good wives
But you are the best of them all
Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears
But a woman who honours the Lord
Should be praised
Give her credit for all she does
She deserves the respect of everyone
