Sacred Hearts Poem

When love flies into the distance
No amount of effort can bring it back
Can that be true?
Laughter becomes hollow
Tears cover the enduring smile
A longing to accept the loss
But a desire to bring it back
Deep into the heart
Lays a narrow path leading to love
When one hand is stretched to your love
The other searches for sadness
Trying to erase the goodbye
Close up all the wounds
A sweet form of love
Lies in flowers that produce honey
Is what two lovers want
A kind word, caring and lovely
Heals even a starved soul
Speaks to a tired heart
Remembers a broken down body
