Love That Is Elusive Poem

Love
So sweet in its alluring beauty
Yet so painful
Quite sentimental at times
So cruel to its touch at most
My world was covered in darkness
Daylight seemed to have faded
In its place mocking of happiness
This seemed to only glimpse once
All the while taunting me
Fantasies turning to nightmares
Gasping for air
Trying to grasp the last strength
The last hope of finding love
Agonizing
Filled with deep regrets
Of being entangled in impossible love
You hurt the most
The attraction too strong to let go
Love became elusive
We found it in its full splendour
