Love Of Her Life Poem

She cried in his arms
Knowing she had lost him
Realizing at last
Was not crying for losing him
She never had him
He never was hers
She never was his
Only grieving for her own pain
No one there to wipe her eyes
Dry her wet cheeks
Settle down her soft sobs
Give her heart some peace
Even he, could not comfort her
She chose to let go
Though she knew
He was her dark chocolate
A caramel of sweetness
He had a freshness of mint in his love
Melted her like warm butter
Each time their closeness floated
He was her life’s little pleasure
